Managing Partner

Louis Montfort is the managing partner at The Montfort Law Firm. He is known for aggressively advocating for his clients and never being afraid to take a case to trial. He believes that everyone has the fundamental right to be treated fairly. Mr. Montfort is ready and willing to fight for anyone who has been taken advantage of, made to feel like there is no hope, or simply needs an experienced lawyer in their corner.

Mr. Montfort received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Minor in Religion from the University of Florida, during which time he dedicated his time and studies to understanding the human dynamic and the social psyche. In 2004, he was tapped into Florida Blue Key, the University's highest leadership and service honorary. He was inducted into the University of Florida Student Hall of Fame the following year. He received his Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Juris Doctor from Florida State University.

As a law student, Mr. Montfort was a decorated member of the Mock Trial Team and earned a position in the law school's Criminal and Judicial Law Clinics. He served as a Certified Legal Intern for the Public Defender's Office in the 5th Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida, representing dozens of clients from their arrest to their final disposition. He also had the privilege of holding a judicial clerkship at Florida's Division of Administrative Hearings.

At the Montfort Law Firm, Mr. Montfort focuses on cases dealing with Civil Rights, Criminal Defense, Contract Disputes and a wide range of Personal Injury matters. He believes it is his responsibility as an attorney to speak up on the behalf of those who would otherwise be taken advantage of.
